To provide the students with the knowledge of the main tools of the stratigraphic geology in order to reach autonomy and criticism capability in facing those topics of the geology that need a stratigraphic approach. Application on the field of the concepts.

This course provides theoretical and practical foundations of stratigraphy, with applications in various geological contexts and field activities.
Course Modules
• Fundamentals of Stratigraphy: nomenclature and stratigraphic units.
• Sequence and Cyclostratigraphy: correlations and data interpretation.
• Stratigraphy in Complex Systems: tectonic settings and Source-to-Sink approach.
• Regional Stratigraphy: analysis of basin and pelagic successions.
