The aim of the course is to provide adequate knowledge about the physics of the planets of the solar system and of exoplanets, with particular regard to the techniques of investigation of atmospheres, surfaces and sub-surfaces of planets.
There is no single text that completely covers the topics of the course. A recommended text is: Imke de Pater and Jack J. Lissauer, Planetary Sciences, Cambridge University Press.
During the course, review scientific articles will be suggested from time to time.
