The module aims to provide an adequate introductory knowledge of how the planet Earth woks. The main objectives of the course are the acquisition of knowledge about planet Earth, including that relating to its position within the Solar System. A part of the course will also be dedicated to the study of lithogenetic environments and the geological processes that lead to the origin of rocks. All the contents of the course will be framed within the perspective of environmental sustainability through the concept of Planet Earth as an integrated system.
Finally, the educational field trips will allow becoming familiar, through direct observation on the territory, with the territory and acquiring tools for recording field data with different measurement methods.
