The learning objective of the course is the acquisition of basic knowledge on materials, geometry and fabrication techniques of contact lenses and on the geometric, physical and physiological relationships between contact lenses and the external eye. In addition, students will acquire the skills regarding: the measurements of the external eye and the physical parameters of the contact lenses; the use of contact lenses to correct refractive defects.
